missionary to cambodia
After raising four children and working extensively in children's ministry, Yvonne began to sense a call to missions on her life in the year 2009. After completing a year and a half of Bible coursework while living in Tulsa, Oklahoma, and then attending a ministry training school in Albany, Oregon, Yvonne accepted an invitation to go to Uganda for a short term missions trip in November of 2011. While there, she shared the gospel in village homes and churches, prayed for the sick, and ministered to the 100 children living at the Field of Dreams, as well as the additional 200 Muslim children whose parents allow them to come on a daily basis to receive an education.
"Since (and during) that time however, God has birthed a passion in Yvonne's heart for the nation of Cambodia, and she has prayerfully pursued the prophetic words spoken over her life for "Asian children." She has now connected with a ministry in southern Cambodia, and with God's enablement, she plans to visit Milk and Honey in January 2017. They are an organization that aims to share the gospel through meaningful relationships, train local disciples to evangelize, and empower Cambodians to address social issues, school that is transforming the lives of Cambodian children, giving them a heart, hope, and vision for their country.
